The Sherline 3.1" 3-Jaw Self-Centering Chuck (ER16 - M22 x 1.5) is a precision-engineered tool designed for use with Sherline's optional ER-16 spindle nose, as well as other compatible ER-16 spindles featuring a 22 x 1.5 mm threaded hole. This self-centering chuck provides a swift and efficient method for securing a workpiece during lathe operations. Additionally, it can be affixed to a mill table to hold components for milling tasks.

Manufactured with high precision on CNC machines, the chuck's jaws are meticulously ground and fitted by skilled technicians to ensure optimal accuracy, with a runout specification of .003 inches or less at the chuck jaws. The chuck's design includes a collar machined flat at the back, allowing it to seat securely against the face of the Sherline ER-16 spindle, although compatibility with non-Sherline ER-16 collet adapters or industrial tool holders may vary.
